Summary

Join Protective as a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support the financial operations of a marketing distributor and broader Sales & Marketing functions. This role combines accounting, financial analysis, and strategic partnership, working closely with senior leadership. You will manage high-value transactions, explain variances, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills and experience with financial reporting and analysis. Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formula creation
  • Working knowledge of GAAP accounting, general ledgers, and financial systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when handling high-dollar transactions
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with senior leadership
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience
  • Experience with accruals, pre-paids, debits, and credits
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements, accruals, reconciliations, and carrier statement processing for Concourse Distributors Inc
  • Calculate and support Sales Incentive Plans (SIP) and marketing allowance payments
  • Conduct monthly expense analysis, including reclasses, account reconciliations, and variance reporting
  • Assist with budgeting processes and provide technical support using Anaplan
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to explain financial variances and support strategic decisions
  • Perform other accounting and financial analysis duties as assigned
