Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or a related role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, financial modeling, and data visualization tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote-friendly, multicultural environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to support strategic decision-making
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to analyze trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, improve resource allocation, and track financial performance
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators
  • Identify and implement efficiencies in financial processes, reporting, and tools
  • Present financial insights and recommendations to leadership and other key stakeholders
  • Support strategic projects across teams in the Foundation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in nonprofit finance, grant management, or international financial operations
  • Knowledge of financial planning and reporting systems such as Adaptive Insights, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with open-source communities and the Wikimedia movement
