Requirements
- Have 3 to 5 years of experience managing and understanding the accounting & tax structures of different African countries
- Be able to understand the African ecosystem
- Have a solid command of the IFRS for SME
- Know how to implement accounting procedures in an early stage environment or equivalent
- Have a design thinking mindset helping you to approach problems in different ways
- Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills dealing as well with junior team members than with the senior leadership team
- Master Microsoft Excel (Power query), Power Point & Power BI
- Be bilingual; French and English
Responsibilities
- Manage the general accounting function: drafting and implementation of accounting procedures; support in implementation of the accounting system
- Be knowledgeable in implementing and executing controls and animating the monthly closing process
- Manage and navigate the different accounting laws; Nigeria, UEMOA, Ghana, etc
- Provide financial analysis and reports on key performance indicators to support the company’s decision-making process
- Head and improve the drafting and update of the company’s budget and provide monthly and quarterly reporting to invest
- Identify when and how the company can optimize their assets and investments
- Work with department heads to figure out each department’s likely revenue and expenses over the next several years
- Manage the company’s financial audit
- Manage key external stakeholders: auditors, bank, tax authorities
