Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, consulting, or a similar client-facing role
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA or Master’s a plus)
- Proven experience supporting VC-backed startups in Finance or FP&A capacity
- Deep expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and business performance analysis
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging with founders and Boards
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
- High EQ and professionalism in client communication; able to build trust quickly and influence strategic decisions
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary financial advisor to a portfolio of startup clients
- Own financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across revenue, expenses, and cash flow for each client
- Lead the creation and delivery of Board-ready reporting packages, investor updates, and strategic analysis
- Build and maintain driver-based financial models tailored to SaaS, fintech, and other startup verticals
- Collaborate directly with client founders and executives to align financial strategy with business goals
- Support fundraising efforts by preparing financial projections and materials for investors
- Identify and monitor key business drivers that impact client financial outcomes
- Provide insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and cash runway management
- Present strategic recommendations to client stakeholders and Boards in a compelling, data-driven way
- Serve as a liaison between clients and Finvisor’s internal teams to ensure cohesive execution
Preferred Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets; experience with systems like NetSuite, Salesforce, and planning tools is a plus
