Remote Front End Software Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain secret level clearance. US Citizenship is required
• 3+ years of experience in frontend software development
• Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress)
• Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain User Interfaces: Translate design mockups and wireframes into high-quality, responsive, and interactive user interfaces for our airlift optimization platform
• Implement intuitive user interactions, visualizations, and data displays, of a React based application with the Kendo UI framework, to help users understand and manage airlift requests effectively
• Optimize frontend performance for speed, scalability, and accessibility, ensuring a smooth experience for users across various devices and browsers
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to web standards
• Collaborate with Team Members: Partner with backend engineers to integrate APIs and data seamlessly, allowing for real-time updates and efficient processing of airlift requests
• Work closely with product owners to understand user needs and requirements, translating them into user-friendly frontend features
• Collaborate with designers to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing user experience that aligns with our brand identity
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Stay Current with Frontend Technologies: Keep abreast of the latest frontend frameworks, libraries, and tools relevant to the airlift optimization domain
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies that can enhance our platform's frontend development and user experience
• Share knowledge and best practices with the team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with frontend performance optimization techniques
• Knowledge of TypeScript or other statically typed languages
• Familiarity with frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Rollup)
• Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Contributions to open source frontend projects
• Experience with data visualization libraries or tools
• Familiarity with the airlift or logistics domain
