Frontend Engineer

Summary

Vetted is a product search engine that recently raised series A funding. As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for building React components and features, working on browser extensions, developing API endpoints, collaborating with design and backend teams, optimizing content delivery, and doing code reviews. The position requires strong TypeScript skills, understanding of frontend best practices, ability to work in a remote environment, and experience writing production deployed code.

Requirements

• Strongly values writing well maintained type safe code with integrity checks
• Has a good understanding of how to use git to organize their work and collaborate with others
• Are interested in keeping up with the latest frontend development best practices
• Are able to dive into the source code of external dependencies to resolve issues integrating them
• Are able to excel in a remote work environment by keeping up consistent communication and organizing their own projects clearly and communicating progress to the team
• Several years experience writing production deployed code
• A degree in CS or equivalent professional experience
• A deep understanding of the capabilities of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• A deep understanding of the Typescript type system
• A deep understanding of the technical pipeline of how data and assets flow from the server to being finally displayed in applications to the user
• A deep understanding of optimizing and debugging issues in node and client-side code

Responsibilities

• Building React components and features by implementing design, interaction, and data specifications
• Building React Native components and features
• Building API endpoints for serving data to clients
• Working with design team to help make their dreams come true
• Working with backend team to help them define API data dependencies needed to implement client side features
• Optimizing content delivery to provide end users with a fast UI experience
• Doing code reviews for pull requests from colleagues
