Summary

Requirements
- Advanced front-end development skills in TypeScript, with experience in frameworks like React and IDE plugin systems (e.g., VS Code Extensions)
- Strong understanding of front-end architecture and a track record of building complex, high-performance UIs in real-world environments (e.g., dashboards, real-time tools, IDE plugins—not static sites)
- Operationally mature mindset: you treat logging, monitoring, profiling, feature toggles, and performance optimization as core parts of your workflow
- Experience or strong interest in developing plugins for VS Code, JetBrains, or Neovim
- Deep empathy for developer experience, with a focus on reducing friction, latency, and cognitive overhead
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the VS Code plugin (with future support for JetBrains, Neovim, and others) that integrates with our AI-powered backend services
- Design intuitive interaction flows between developers and the AI assistant, including code diff detection, suggestion display, and seamless in-editor application
- Develop native-feeling UI components such as inline diffs, smart tooltips, hover actions, logs, and suggestion modals
- Ensure secure and efficient communication between IDEs and the cloud, implementing robust error handling, retry logic, and fallback mechanisms
- Instrument the plugin to track key metrics such as usage, latency, performance, and engagement patterns
- Own the plugin release pipeline, including versioning, feature flagging, staged rollouts, and testing best practices
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with CLI tools is a plus
