Summary

Join Oklo as our Fuel Special Projects Manager to lead and coordinate high-impact projects in nuclear fuel facility development, permitting, and deployment. You will act as both a project contributor and integrator, working across disciplines to drive results and collaborating with various teams to advance mission-critical fuel production. The ideal candidate possesses diverse technical skills (nuclear background preferred but not required), strong organizational and communication abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills to build a network of stakeholders. You must be a high-performing individual relentlessly focused on successful execution. Specific responsibilities include leading strategic projects, coordinating external collaborations, working cross-functionally, proactively planning work, contributing to technical strategy, and completing tasks to achieve mission objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, materials science, chemistry)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage challenging projects with high complexity and uncertainty, to successful completion
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing strategic special projects in the areas of fuel facility permitting and deployment, and fuel material sourcing
  • Coordinating external collaborations with contractors, suppliers, and government stakeholders
  • Working cross-functionally with other teams to align deliverables and schedules
  • Proactively planning work and managing timelines to identify and resolve issues before they manifest
  • Contributing to technical strategy and execution plans
  • Completing or matrixing tasks, to achieve mission objectives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in nuclear, oil & gas, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or defense
  • Experience working in nuclear facilities and/or materials
  • Experience working with the DOE or national laboratories
