Special Projects Manager

Summary

Join Oklo as a Special Projects Manager to lead and coordinate high-impact projects in nuclear reactor system development, permitting, and deployment. You will work across disciplines, collaborating with engineering, radioisotope production, and regulatory teams to advance mission-critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate possesses diverse technical acumen (nuclear background preferred), strong organizational and communication skills, and excellent EQ. Specific responsibilities include leading strategic projects, coordinating external collaborations, working cross-functionally, proactively planning work, contributing to technical strategy, and completing tasks to achieve mission objectives. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, materials science, chemistry)
• Demonstrated ability to manage challenging projects with high complexity and uncertainty, to successful completion
• Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing strategic special projects in the areas of radioisotope facility permitting and deployment, and material sourcing
• Coordinating external collaborations with contractors, suppliers, and government stakeholders
• Working cross-functionally with other teams to align deliverables and schedules
• Proactively planning work and managing timelines to identify and resolve issues before they manifest
• Contributing to technical strategy and execution plans
• Completing or matrixing tasks, to achieve mission objectives

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in nuclear, oil & gas, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or defense
• Experience working in nuclear facilities and/or materials
• Experience working with the DOE or national laboratories
