Summary
Join Quorum, a leading provider of workflow software for government affairs professionals, as a FullStack Software Engineer. Contribute to the development and maintenance of data scrapers and spiders, ensuring efficient and accurate data collection from online sources. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design and launch new product features, focusing on high data quality and scalability. Utilize Python, Django, PostgreSQL, AWS, and other tools in a full-stack approach. The role involves taking ownership of features, making impactful decisions, and guiding the team in broad technical decisions. Quorum offers a remote-first work environment with flexible options and various benefits.
Requirements
- Have 3+ years of work experience at a company that produces software for end users as its primary function
- Have professional experience in JavaScript and FE technologies like React
- Have professional experience writing application code in backend languages like Python, .Net, Java, Go, or Node.js
- Have professional experience with any relational database such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle
- Have familiarity with SQL queries and performant use of Object Relational Mapping frameworks like Django
- Care about the quality of code and have a strong desire to build the skills of those around you through code review and mentorship
- Care deeply about the code you write and have significant technical skills solving real-world problems or the drive to quickly develop them
- Have an interest in learning new development languages and platforms used by the wider team
- Be a highly-motivated self-starter who wants to make valuable contributions to a team from day 1
- Be an engaged learner—want to expand your skills, get your hands dirty, and find solutions to challenging problems that require tradeoffs
- Want to work in a fun environment where you can form real friendships with other professionals and where you have a strong sense of belonging at a growing startup
- Be excited to pitch in wherever needed, from helping in recruiting to supporting customers

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data scrapers and spiders to ensure efficient, accurate, and reliable data collection from online sources
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design and launch new product features
- Proactively uphold high data quality standards
- Address performance and scalability concerns
- Continuously research and adopt best practices in web scraping and data engineering
