Requirements

- Team builder who thrives creating systems and mentoring emerging fundraising professionals
- Connected fundraiser with proven access to international donors (USAID, EU agencies, UN, major foundations) and corporate CSR programs
- Cultural agility: Ability to work across time zones and mentor South Asia-based staff
- Donor network: Active relationships with education-focused foundations and institutional funders
- 7+ years experience: Non-profit fundraising, business development, or donor relations
- Team development expertise: Experience building/mentoring teams in developing market contexts
- Proven fundraising success: $300,000+ annually in grants/donations (portfolio evidence required)
Responsibilities
- Represent the organization at key donor forums and networking events internationally
- Serve as primary representative to high-value donors and institutional partners
- Cultivate strategic relationships with regional funders, partners, and peer organizations
- Develop region-specific fundraising assets including compelling pitch materials, proposals, and impact reports
- Leverage and expand existing donor networks to secure sustainable, long-term funding
- Deliver minimum $300,000 annually through institutional grants and corporate partnerships
- Design and implement 12-month capacity-building program covering donor relations, grant writing, and stewardship
- Transfer key donor relationships and knowledge to ensure local sustainability
- Recruit, train, and mentor the organization's first professional fundraising team in South Asia
- Implement donor management systems for pipeline tracking and comprehensive reporting
- Establish fundraising SOPs meeting local and international compliance standards
