You'll be responsible for project management, delivery and release management, communication and community engagement, and content and design tasks. Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in a Roblox/Minecraft/Fortnite game production role (at least 1-2 yrs exp). You have previously shipped a full game, feature, or live-service content in the video game industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Roblox platform and ecosystem, or other UGC gaming platforms (ie Minecraft/Fortnite)
  • Firm grasp of industry best practices and a willingness to share your know-how with a growing game company
  • Ability to build, track, and maintain complex schedules and deliverables
  • History of collaborating with cross-discipline teams (art, design, engineering, QA, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Establish an overall project schedule for the upcoming 60-90 days based on the individual task estimates for the features on the roadmap
  • Track velocity to avoid over-commitment and over-tasking
  • Ensure the impact of scope or capacity changes are understood across stakeholders (what are the trade-offs?)
  • Coordinate with central teams (Art, QA) to ensure capacity is available and project timelines can be met
  • Evaluate and improve process and tools over time, partnering with other Voldex Producers and sharing learnings
  • Maintain project management tool to ensure that x-functional team are on task and stakeholders can easily track progress
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the team
  • Prioritize, schedule, and track tasks to ensure a timely delivery of the team’s work whilst ensuring the quality meets the project requirements
  • Order and evaluate assets in partnership with Art team
  • Schedule and coordinate QA support for weekly builds
  • Manage QA Places to ensure developers know where to work and stakeholders can easily access test builds
  • Partner with marketing to update relevant marketing materials (icon, thumbnail, name)
  • Organize and direct on-call process (i.e., when urgent hotfixes are required)
  • Schedule and oversee releases retrospectives so that team improves over time
  • Own all release updates
  • Monitor community feedback and sentiment and surfaces key themes to relevant individuals
  • Complete relevant documentation for weekly numbers review (if required)
  • Ensure game design documents are translated into asset request documents completely and accurately (either by doing or by ensuring that game design completes)
  • Maintain platform knowledge, understanding competitors and general [Roblox, Fortnite, Minecraft] trends
  • Review art assets and provide actionable feedback, if necessary
  • Add content (e.g., cosmetics) directly into the game
  • Provide game design feedback based on platform knowledge, game experience, and community feedback
  • Regularly complete basic game edits in Roblox Studio (prior experience not required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise with Project Management tools (we use Monday.com but experience Jira, or others are great)
  • Experience working with live games (aka GaaS, live-ops, live-service)
  • History of managing fully remote and geographically dispersed teams
