Summary
Join LastPass as a GL Accountant and play an active role in various accounting operations, collaborating with the Accounting team and cross-functional partners. Manage global cash and bank accounting processes, execute global payment runs, contribute to month-end close, prepare tax filings, and collaborate to ensure accurate general ledger activity. Develop a strong understanding of internal systems, support external auditors, maintain a strong internal control environment, and identify process improvements. Partner with senior leadership and participate in a multi-functional sub-team. This role requires a background in accounting or finance, proven accounting experience, strong attention to detail, self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Requirements
- Background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in accounting
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general technology tools
Responsibilities
- Manage global cash and bank accounting processes for all LastPass subsidiaries, including posting bank transactions and reconciling month-end balances to the general ledger
- Execute global payment runs on a weekly or bi-weekly basis
- Contribute to the month-end close by posting accruals and adjustments, and preparing reconciliations
- Prepare domestic federal, state, and local tax filings, as well as VAT filings in other jurisdictions. Coordinate with internal tax teams and external advisors to resolve reporting issues
- Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate and complete general ledger activity
- Develop a strong understanding of internal order and booking systems that drive revenue. Ensure systems and controls remain robust and aligned with business changes
- Support external auditors with interim and year-end audit requests and ongoing requirements
- Help maintain an effective internal control environment and assist with control testing
- Partner with senior leadership to identify and implement process and system improvements to enhance team efficiency
- Participate in a multi-functional sub-team responsible for Cash Application, Indirect Taxes, and E-Commerce Revenue Accounting. Support backup coverage during PTO or absences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NetSuite ERP
- Experience working with external tax advisors on international tax filings
