Summary

Join a global business as a Global Trade Compliance Advisor, supporting a pan-European team in delivering trade compliance for a large-scale manufacturing business. You will engage with stakeholders, ensuring operational excellence and identifying process improvements. This fully remote, full-time position requires expertise in customs compliance, tariff classification, export controls, and country of origin determination. The role involves resolving complex customs compliance issues, ensuring accurate classification, contributing to global trade compliance projects, and responding to compliance inquiries. Data analysis for recovery claims and conducting training sessions are also key responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP and Global Trade Management systems.

Requirements

• Experience in customs compliance, with a focus on tariff classification, export controls, and country of origin determination
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP and Global Trade Management systems
• Proven ability to navigate customs regulations and resolve complex compliance issues
• Ability to work in a multinational company with a remote, cross-functional team

Responsibilities

• Resolve Complex Customs Compliance Issues
• Analyze and resolve customs compliance challenges, providing practical and compliant solutions to management and business partners
• Expertise in Tariff Code Classification & Export Controls
• Ensure accurate classification and compliance with country of origin determination and export controls
• Project Participation & Audits
• Contribute to Global Trade Compliance projects and lead or support audits to ensure regulatory compliance
• Compliance Inquiries: Respond to queries from internal teams, import/export agents, and customs brokers across various regions
• Data Analysis & Recovery Claims: Gather and analyze data for the submission of recovery claims related to customs compliance
• Training & Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions on global trade compliance topics to ensure best practices across the organization
