Requirements
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior data leadership role, within a digital business or technology-driven organisation of global scale
- Expertise in modern data platforms, cloud technologies, and leading large-scale data transformations while mentoring high-performing teams and delivering high-quality solutions
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a data strategy that supports Envatoβs business goals and objectives
- Oversee the design, implementation, and operations of a robust data platform, ensuring it meets business outcomes and adheres to service levels
- Establish and enforce data governance practices for quality, security, and compliance
- Manage technical risks and balance commercial versus technical decisions
- Evaluate and recommend data technologies, tools, and platforms to meet current and future needs
- Champion innovation and keep up with emerging technologies to contribute to best practices
- Lead complex data projects, manage stakeholder interactions, and ensure projects align with business goals
- Track project progress, address roadblocks, and oversee release processes to meet operational standards
- Foster a positive team culture, support career development, and promote high performance
- Build strategic relationships with key data vendors and manage resources to optimize cost and performance
- Cultivate key internal relationships with direct and indirect reports, heads of analytics, engineering, product, and marketing teams, along with cross-functional peers, and engage with external suppliers, vendors, and consultants
