Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a data strategy that supports Envato’s business goals and objectives
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and operations of a robust data platform, ensuring it meets business outcomes and adheres to service levels
  • Establish and enforce data governance practices for quality, security, and compliance
  • Manage technical risks and balance commercial versus technical decisions
  • Evaluate and recommend data technologies, tools, and platforms to meet current and future needs
  • Champion innovation and keep up with emerging technologies to contribute to best practices
  • Lead complex data projects, manage stakeholder interactions, and ensure projects align with business goals
  • Track project progress, address roadblocks, and oversee release processes to meet operational standards
  • Foster a positive team culture, support career development, and promote high performance
  • Build strategic relationships with key data vendors and manage resources to optimize cost and performance
  • Cultivate key internal relationships with direct and indirect reports, heads of analytics, engineering, product, and marketing teams, along with cross-functional peers, and engage with external suppliers, vendors, and consultants
