Summary

Join Emi Labs, a startup on a mission to increase Frontline Workers' access to professional opportunities, as the Head of Data. You will lead the data team in defining the company's data strategy and infrastructure, working closely with cross-functional teams to scale and optimize data collection, processing, and leverage for AI capabilities and recruitment process improvement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working in data, with at least 5 years leading and managing data teams. Experience in building teams from scratch is highly desirable
  • Strong technical skills in data engineering, data architecture, and analytics. Proficiency in technologies such as SQL, Python, R, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), DBT, and data visualization tools
  • Proven experience in developing and executing data strategies that align with business goals. Experience working with senior leadership to drive data-driven initiatives
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and foster a data-driven culture within the company

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the overall data strategy for the company, aligning with Emi Labs' mission to increase Frontline Workers' access to professional opportunities
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing data team from the ground up, ensuring continuous growth and development of team members
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support real-time analytics, data-driven decision-making, and machine learning models
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure data-driven strategies are incorporated into product development and operational processes
  • Establish and maintain robust data governance practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Lead efforts to analyze data trends and generate actionable insights that will inform key business decisions
  • Leverage data to identify new opportunities for optimizing recruitment processes, and improving both candidate and employer experiences
