Head of Data

Requirements

• Proven experience (5+ years) in leading data teams in fast-paced, data-driven environments
• Strong background in data infrastructure, analytics, and/or machine learning
• Hands-on experience with modern data stacks (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, Airflow, cloud platforms)
• Excellent leadership skills and a track record of building and scaling technical teams
• Strategic thinking, with the ability to translate business goals into technical solutions
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities at executive level
• Familiarity with governance frameworks and data privacy standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing data organization, covering Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science
• Define and implement the data strategy, roadmap, and priorities in collaboration with leadership
• Drive data initiatives that generate business value, including reporting, AI use cases, and automation
• Own the data platform architecture and ensure it scales effectively and securely
• Standardize and enforce best practices in data modeling, governance, documentation, and quality control
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Ops, Finance, Commercial) to enable data-informed decisions
• Represent the data function at the executive level, providing input on strategic decisions
• Manage data budget, vendor relationships, and the selection of relevant tools/technologies
