Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years experience as a Head of Design/Director of Design and managed a multi-disciplinary team of Designers, Writers, and Researchers
  • Previous experience in Internet consumer facing industries such as eCommerce or any multi-sided marketplace is required
  • Have previous experience working within a Product company and shaping strategy together with cross-functional partners from Product and Engineering
  • Excellent communicator and storyteller, able to communicate the β€˜why’ to stakeholders
  • Excellent design skills and ability to get your hands dirty to give tangible feedback to teams on how a good design should look like
  • Empathy for users and a drive to discover and resolve their pain points
  • Excellent business acumen, customer-centric, team and results-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Delight our customers with exceptional user experiences
  • Grow and develop our UX team
  • Co-develop our product vision and strategy
  • Influence all senior stakeholders
  • Provide support, guidance, and feedback to all product teams on their path to creating exceptional user experiences
  • Together with UX leaders set the vision and strategy for the UX group that aligns UX Design, Research, and Writing
  • Create clarity around what success means for UX team (what standards we are aiming for, what principles we follow, how we see our impact and evaluate success) and how it contributes to the success of our product and business goals
  • Have a problem solving mindset, always challenging the status quo of doing things and breaking a complex problem into smaller problems that can be solved efficiently
  • Recruit, coach and mentor a team of UX Managers/ICs who lead different product areas as well as a User Research lead and help them develop their impact and success of their teams
  • Be extremely customer-centric and able to empathise with customer pain points
  • Launch minimum-loveable-products based on quantitative and qualitative data on user behaviour and experimentation, as well as being able to continuously iterate your product to enable more delightful customer experience
  • Along with Product Leaders, oversee all product launches, product marketing, and other go-to-market activities for all products
