Summary

The Head of Sourcing and Procurement will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management in a rapidly growing online business. The role requires a deep understanding of the industry, experience in managing manufacturers, freight forwarding, third-party logistics (3PL), warehousing, and last-mile delivery, and a focus on optimizing processes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective sourcing, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Minimum 10 years in sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management within the supply chain industry
• In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement best practices, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and vendor management
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and international trade regulations
• Experience in managing global suppliers and conducting business across different countries, especially the US, China, UK, and Canada
• Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools for inventory management, order tracking, and data analysis
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing business needs

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with key vendors
• Lead supplier selection and qualification processes to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods
• Oversee inventory management to optimize stock levels, reduce lead times, and minimize carrying costs
• Monitor market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to identify potential opportunities or risks
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance
• Implement and maintain robust systems and processes for procurement, order management, and supply chain visibility
• Manage relationships with freight forwarders, 3PL providers, and warehousing partners to ensure smooth logistics operations
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements and compliance related to sourcing, procurement, and supply chain activities
