Summary

Join Zyte as the Head of Technical Operations and play a critical leadership role in ensuring our technical and product infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and efficient. This strategic partner to the CTO collaborates across teams to ensure platform and services meet the highest standards. Lead end-to-end incident management, define service readiness standards, and ensure clear service ownership. Own Zyteโ€™s security operations, oversee global infrastructure, and serve as the executive escalation point for critical incidents. Provide operational data and insights, establish operational excellence practices, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. As a Zytan, you'll be part of a self-motivated, progressive, multi-cultural team with the freedom to work remotely and attend global conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end incident management, including detection, escalation, resolution, and postmortems
  • Define and enforce service readiness standards, release protocols, and rollback procedures
  • Ensure clear service ownership with measurable SLOs and SLAs across all production systems
  • Drive operational reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and customer impact
  • Own Zyteโ€™s security operations, including threat monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response
  • Ensure infrastructure, platforms, and processes comply with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements
  • Implement and maintain SecOps processes, tooling, and dashboards to ensure proactive risk management
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to embed security best practices into design, development, and operations
  • Oversee global proxy and cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency
  • Lead capacity planning, usage forecasting, and vendor management to optimize operational costs
  • Drive the development of operational tooling, observability, and automated monitoring for high availability
  • Ensure the IP pool and supporting infrastructure consistently meet performance and uptime targets
  • Serve as the executive escalation point for critical product and infrastructure incidents
  • Coordinate structured triage and resolution processes, ensuring timely root cause analysis and documentation
  • Partner with Product, Support, and Account teams to resolve strategic customer issues
  • Monitor platform performance to anticipate and prevent recurring incidents
  • Provide operational data and insights to support strategic decisions across Product, Engineering, and Sales
  • Oversee platform health metrics, cost analytics, and incident trends to inform capacity and reliability planning
  • Drive data-based reviews of major incidents, operational KPIs, and customer impact assessments
  • Establish operational excellence practices, including safe release processes, feature flagging, and staged rollouts
  • Lead cross-functional coordination for large-scale initiatives, migrations, and downtime planning
  • Define, track, and communicate operational KPIs to ensure alignment with company goals
  • Foster a culture of accountability, reliability, and continuous improvement across all technical operations teams
