Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline
  • University undergraduate application consulting/coaching experience within high school or similar contexts including for Ivy League destinations in the USA
  • Experience in providing leadership with evidence of success
  • Ability to delegate activities set deadlines and take responsibility for overseeing their successful completion to meet challenging deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the University Ready team including line management
  • Contribute to the delivery of excellent student outcomes, quality assurance, enhancement and innovation in our University Ready provision
  • Help design the University Ready Program activity and teaching resources
  • Support and monitor students’ progress towards their progression targets
  • Work to achieve Study Group’s strategic vision of being a global leader in international education
  • Lead on the Program Personal Tutorials to ensure students are on-track in the Program or require intervention support
  • Contribute to Study Group’s strategic vision and growth through development of the Program
  • Communicate our vision to drive forward continuous improvement in the Program University Ready modules and Program Tutorials to achieve the aspirational targets for student outcomes
  • Contribute to planning and development including human resources; academic development; learning, teaching, and assessment; and academic quality assurance and enhancement, in the Program University Ready modules and Program Tutorials
  • Participate in Program meetings and events as required
  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and identify appropriate actions to solve problems and enhance delivery within the Program, University Ready modules and Tutorials
  • Line Manage Program University Ready and Program Tutorials tutors
  • Provide effective and efficient academic management and co-ordination of Program University Ready and Program Tutorials staff resources
  • Ensure the recruitment of staff is planned, timely and compliant
  • Ensure that the Program University Ready modules and Program Tutorials teams meet all minimum expectations/compliance in their duties and provide feedback on their performance
  • Take responsibility for academic standards, the quality of learning opportunities, the accuracy and completeness of published information in the Program University Ready modules and Program Tutorials
  • Oversee the effective operation of the Program University Ready modules and Program Tutorials
  • Oversee University Ready modules’ and Program Tutorials’ student tracking and data analytics and ensure quality of feedback to students
  • Contribute to analysing data and feedback from the Program University Ready modules and Program Tutorials
  • Contribute to reports, analysis and evaluation for all internal and external scrutiny processes as directed by the Program Director
  • Gather and report feedback from Program University Ready and Program Tutorials tutors for action

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master’s or higher degree
  • A recognised Teaching or Guidance Counselling Qualification
  • Teaching experience within high school or similar contexts
  • Knowledge of undergraduate application requirements and timelines in other non-USA destinations
  • Experience in providing feedback to another person about their performance, which achieved a positive improvement
  • Experience working with international students with a knowledge of their application needs
  • Experience in data management interpretation, and quality assurance
  • Experience in leading, advising or supporting others to develop curricula
