Healthcare Researcher

Summary

Join our team at Garner Health, where you'll help develop and maintain proprietary claims-based physician performance measures, review academic clinical literature, and work with clinical experts to identify exceptional clinicians. You'll also contribute to writing white papers for clients and collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required preferably in a healthcare-related or technical field, like Science or Engineering
• Strong interest in healthcare and clinical best practices
• Experience with healthcare claims data, health services, outcomes, or clinical research, quality measurement, or medical coding is a plus
• An aptitude to learn new technologies and tools quickly
• Statistical coding experience is a plus
• A healthcare background (masters degree in health related field or clinical practice experience) is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews to help develop and refine metrics for a range of medical conditions and procedures
• Validate measures using proprietary technical and statistical tools
• Maintain a library of documentation for internal and external stakeholders
• Work closely with clinical experts
• Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to support new product development
