Summary
Join Precision AQ, a leading HEOR consultancy, as an intern to explore the application of Generative AI (GAI) in health economic modeling. Work alongside experienced consultants and data scientists, leveraging GAI tools to design model structures, replicate existing models using AI-assisted workflows, and develop Python-based models. Critically evaluate the role of LLMs in model development and present findings to internal teams. This internship provides hands-on experience with real-world HEOR challenges, exposure to cutting-edge AI tools, and mentorship from experts. The ideal candidate is pursuing a Master's or PhD in a relevant field, has a strong interest in AI applications in healthcare, and experience with Python or other modeling languages.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Masterβs or PhD in Health Economics, Medical Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Epidemiology, or Data Science
- Strong interest in AI applications in healthcare
- Experience with Python, R, or other modeling languages
- Familiarity with economic evaluation methods (e.g., cost-effectiveness, budget impact)
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Leverage GAI tools (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, Gemini) to design model structures based on constraints from published literature
- Replicate and adapt prior models developed by leading HEOR consultancies using AI-assisted workflows
- Develop Python-based microsimulation or Markov models with AI support
- Critically evaluate the role of LLMs in improving transparency, reproducibility, and speed in model development
- Present findings to internal teams and potentially contribute to a white paper or conference abstract
