Summary

A dynamic travel agency is seeking an experienced Contracting Manager to establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable terms for the agency. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field, proven experience as a Contracting Manager or similar role, strong negotiation skills, knowledge of the Philippines travel industry, proficiency in MS Office Suite, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. The role is 100% remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Contracting Manager or in a similar role within the Philippines travel industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • In-depth knowledge of the Philippines travel industry, including accommodations, transportation, attractions and related services
  • Familiarity with market analysis techniques and the ability to apply them to contracting decisions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to travel for suppliers meetings all over the Philippines

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contracts for accommodations, transportation, attractions, and other travel services
  • Review and analyze contractual terms to ensure they align with the agency's objectives and profitability targets
  • Negotiate favorable pricing, commission structures, and exclusive offers with suppliers
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any contractual disputes or issues that may arise
  • Develop and nurture relationships with hotels, airlines, attractions, and other travel service providers
  • Assess supplier performance, quality, and customer satisfaction to ensure they meet the agency's standards
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify and develop new products and offerings that align with market trends and customer demands
  • Conduct regular supplier meetings and visits to foster strong partnerships and stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and potential risks
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking exercises to evaluate supplier competitiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Analyze market data and negotiate contracts based on market conditions, demand patterns, and customer preferences
  • Monitor industry regulations and compliance requirements to ensure all contracts adhere to legal and ethical standards
