Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Contracting Manager or in a similar role within the Philippines travel industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • In-depth knowledge of the Philippines travel industry, including accommodations, transportation, attractions and related services
  • Familiarity with market analysis techniques and the ability to apply them to contracting decisions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts for accommodations, transportation, attractions, and other travel services
  • Review and analyze contractual terms, rates, and conditions to ensure they align with our agency's objectives and profitability targets
  • Negotiate favorable pricing, commission structures, and exclusive offers with suppliers to secure competitive advantages for our agency
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any contractual disputes or issues that may arise
  • Develop and nurture relationships with hotels, airlines, attractions, and other travel service providers
  • Continuously assess supplier performance, quality, and customer satisfaction to ensure they meet our agency's standards
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify and develop new products and offerings that align with market trends and customer demands
  • Conduct regular supplier meetings and visits to foster strong partnerships and stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and potential risks
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking exercises to evaluate supplier competitiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Analyze market data and negotiate contracts based on market conditions, demand patterns, and customer preferences
  • Monitor industry regulations and compliance requirements to ensure all contracts adhere to legal and ethical standards
  • Collaborate with the sales and product teams to understand customer needs and develop contracting strategies that align with our agency's sales objectives
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to share contract updates, negotiate special offers, and address any operational challenges
