Summary
Join Point B as a Human Resources Generalist and serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR matters. You will be responsible for administering leave of absence processes, conducting exit interviews, and supporting various HR programs. The role requires managing data, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and contributing to HR projects. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or relevant certifications (PHR, SPHR, or SHRM) and 3-5 years of experience are required. The position offers the ability to work from home and flexible hours.
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. in Human Resources or relevant certifications PHR, SPHR, or SHRM
- 3-5 yearsβ experience in Human Resources
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws. Experience working with multi-state preferred
- Solid technology skills with working knowledge of MS Office products
- Ability to work from home
- Ability to work non-standard work hours as necessary
Responsibilities
- Serves as the first point of contact for HR questions and support for employees
- Responds to and addresses associate inquiries across a broad range of People Team areas; reassigns, delegates, or escalates, as appropriate
- Supports the development and implementation of HR-related guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Handles most associate inquiries through ServiceNow or the HR distribution lists
- Administers the Leave of Absence process, including the parental leave process, and audits relevant data
- Administers client required background/drug check requests and manages the vendor relationship with the background check provider
- Conducts exit interviews as part of associate off-boarding
- Supports administration and execution of HR programs including disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance management, employee relations, and training and development
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance, supports annual compliance activities
- Manages data entry, reporting, and audits of our HR system (Workday)
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Leads and contributes to projects aimed at improving HR
- Supports team effort and builds authentic relationships with individuals in work groups and teams
