Join our team as a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our production environments. You will drive platform improvements, ensure high availability, and transition systems to the cloud. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and 3-5 years of relevant experience are required. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in cloud technologies and security solutions.

Requirements

• Experience with virtualization technology (VMWare, Hyper-V)
• Experience in Linux environment (Ubuntu, RHEL, Centos)
• Experience in Windows environment (Server Applications and OS)
• Familiar with Azure Cloud
• Experience with Networking technologies (DNS, Load Balancing, NAT & VPN, Firewalls. Cisco, Palo Alto)
• Expertise with site-to-site VPN and MPLS technology
• Knowledge of security best practices
• Ability to upgrade and optimize switches, routers, and firewall
• Experience with configuring and managing SAN and NAS
• Experience in configuring storage to Hyper-Visor environments
• Familiar configuring FC and iSCSI connectivity
• Experience with configuring and managing cloud storage
• Experience with network monitoring
• Knowledge of container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes or similar)
• Good teamwork skills and attention to detail
• 3-5 years working in System Administration, Networking and Storage environments
• Experience with supporting End-Users
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in an Enterprise setting (Design, Migration, Implementation, Support)
• Strong technical knowledge of network and Server operating systems
• Experience with Security Vendors hardware software (Palo Alto, Cisco, Pfsense)
• Exceptional organization skills, strong attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving
• Technical writing, documentation, and presentation skills
• 2+ years administering enterprise firewalls
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work independently, in a team environment, and with vendors and clients
• Sound judgment capability
• Ability to work on special projects after hours and weekends
• Strong customer communication skills
• Time management - Dedicated to completing tasks
• Ability to participate in on-call rotating scheduling

Responsibilities

• Design, document, configure, manage implementations, and automate the platform build for production environments
• Drive platform improvements and standardization efforts
• Continual re-evaluation of existing stack and infrastructure to maintain optimal performance
• Transition customer and internal systems from premises to cloud
• Implement Security solutions (NGFW, SSO, MFA)
• Ensuring high availability of cloud platforms
• Communicate clearly with partners (Manufactures, Network Engineering, DevOps teams and Clients)
• Work with other engineering, infrastructure, and support teams to find best of class solutions and new technologies for running, managing, and monitoring
• Interface with Client to implement provided solutions and end-user support
• Define tasks required to create project plan as it pertains to the solution implementation
• Work with minimal supervision and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced agile environment
• Work as a tier 2 support engineer and on-call rotation as needed
