Insurance Operations Manager

Summary

Join Waymo Insurance as a Claims Management Leader and help shape the future of claims management in the autonomous driving world. You will provide oversight to claims associated with insured products, guide third-party administrators (TPAs), and evaluate event data to assess risks and establish claims promptly. This remote role requires 12+ years of insurance claim experience, including 5+ years in claims leadership, and a Bachelor's degree (JD preferred). You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve and scale Waymo's claim function, contributing to risk management activities. Requirements

• 12+ years insurance claim experience (preferably in Auto, Gl, PL, WC) and 5+ years in claims leadership
• Experience creating and documenting processes
• Ability to excel as an individual contributor with an eye towards building a world class team
• Ability to obtain an insurance adjustor license as needed
• Experience managing multiple projects while prioritizing high impact work within high-growth environments
• Bachelor's Degree or higher, J.D preferred

Responsibilities

• Help shape the future of claims management in an autonomous world
• Provide oversight to claims associated with insured products
• Provide oversight and guidance to TPAs, cultivating a customer experience focused culture of excellence
• Evaluate event data in order to assess risks and establish claims promptly
• Support the development, implementation, and adherence to claims processes and technological enhancements to improve claims handling
• Collaborate with internal teams and insurance companies and vendors to improve and help scale the claim function at Waymo
• Assist in risk management activities - such as underwriting data collection, contract review, insurance renewal-related work, and COIs
