Intermediate Data Engineer

Summary

Join Perion's Data team in Montreal as an Intermediate Data Engineer and contribute to the modernization of our data pipeline and products. We're adopting a streaming-first strategy and building self-serve frameworks. You'll be creating real-time data pipelines, reviewing code, and working with a variety of technologies. This role requires 2+ years of experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong skills in Python, Java/Scala, SQL, and data streaming. Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a related field
• Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Good Computer Science fundamentals with regards to data structures, algorithms, time complexity, etc
• Good work experience with Python, Java / Scala, SQL
• Experience with data streaming and live processing mainly in Kafka
• Ability to work independently and make use of your time effectively

Responsibilities

• Creating Real time data pipelines
• Code reviewing
• Open source code reading

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Kubernetes is an asset
• Experience in DBT is an asset
• Good database skills and experience working with large data sets
