Agile Defense
Summary
Join the Agile Defense Labs Internship Program and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic product organization. Contribute to real-world projects, learn agile methodologies, and develop critical skills in product management and business analysis while supporting the Workforce Product Owner. This internship will allow you to work on AI-driven cybersecurity and automation products, using modern software development practices, cloud-native architectures, and cutting-edge technologies. The program fosters growth, provides mentorship, and prepares participants for successful tech careers. The ideal candidate possesses strong programming fundamentals and a basic understanding of software development lifecycle and version control. This is a paid internship with a salary range of $18-$33.
Requirements
- Strong programming fundamentals in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or Java)
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and version control (Git/GitHub)
- Familiarity with REST APIs and cloud services
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of backend services, APIs, and integrations for Agile Defense Labsβ products
- Support front-end development, UX improvements, and bug fixes in collaboration with design and QA teams
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code under the guidance of senior engineers
- Participate in code reviews and agile development ceremonies
- Assist in building automated tests and improving CI/CD pipelines
- Research emerging tools, libraries, or frameworks that could enhance product performance and reliability
- Help improve developer documentation and internal technical knowledge bases
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with React, Next.js , or similar front-end frameworks
- Exposure to backend frameworks such as Node.js , Django, or FastAPI
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of basic security practices and secure coding principles
- Prior contributions to open-source projects or GitHub portfolio
- Hybrid or remote-friendly depending on location and business needs
- Requires regular collaboration with distributed engineering teams via Slack and Zoom
- Flexible work hours with agreed-upon milestones and deliverables
- Development environment, repositories, and required tools will be provisioned
