Summary
Join Kraken as their Internal Communications Manager (Fixed-Term) and play a key role in engaging and informing their global team. This fully remote contract role, based in the US or Canada, will have you leading internal communications planning and execution, creating engaging content (videos, decks, Slack posts, etc.), partnering with the People team on employee programs, optimizing feedback loops, and championing Kraken's voice and values. The position requires 5+ years of experience in internal communications and change management, ideally in a high-growth tech or crypto organization. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure every Krakenite understands the company's direction and their contribution. This is a fixed-term engagement through January 31, 2026. The role demands exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complex organizational environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in internal communications and change management, ideally within a high-growth tech or crypto org
- Proven success partnering with People/HR teams on org-wide messaging and rollout of employee programs
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strategic thinker who can also execute end-to-end: brief to production to launch to measurement
- Comfortable in ambiguity and confident navigating complex org environments
- Passion for crypto, self-sovereignty, and building at the edge of innovation
- Youβre hands-on, humble, and hustle-driven: no task is too small if it drives impact
Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of internal communications that bring clarity, energy, and purpose to every message, from org updates to new initiatives and cultural moments
- Own creation and distribution of content that engages and activates Krakenites: videos, decks, Slack posts, events, and more
- Partner with KX and key business leaders to drive internal understanding and adoption of critical people programs and change initiatives
- Help to optimize feedback loops: track comms effectiveness, iterate based on what works, and always push to raise the bar
- Champion our voice and values internally, ensuring comms are consistent, thoughtful, and aligned with the broader Kraken brand
- Operate with urgency and bias for action in West Coast US hours (or compatible timezone)
- Take on additional projects that grow the impact and visibility of the internal comms function
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
BA in Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience
