Summary

Join Sonar as their Internal Communications Manager and provide critical support to the Executive Office, working closely with the CEO and Chief of Staff. You will build and maintain the company's internal knowledge base and intranet platform, ensuring content is easily accessible and aligned with company priorities. Develop and implement governance policies for internal documentation, establishing best practices for content creation and organization. Partner with internal teams to identify and curate critical information, transforming complex data into clear resources. Audit and reorganize existing documentation to ensure relevance and accuracy, eliminating redundant information. Support the creation and distribution of company-wide communications, maintaining a consistent flow of key organizational announcements.

Requirements

  • Experience in knowledge management, internal communications, corporate communications, or a related field, ideally in a fast-paced or tech-focused environment
  • Proven ability to organize and structure information effectively, and to create engaging written and visual content for internal audiences
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on clarity, tone, and impact
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
  • Familiarity with knowledge management and internal communication tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, Slack, Google Meet, Intranet platforms)
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with a passion for driving organizational efficiency and fostering a positive internal culture
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across different teams, cultures, timezones and levels of the organization, including our CEO
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to align knowledge management and communications with business goals and values
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands

Responsibilities

  • Design, manage, and maintain the company's internal knowledge base and intranet platform, ensuring content is easy to find, accurate, and aligned with company priorities
  • Develop and implement governance policies for internal documentation, establishing best practices for content creation, organization, and retirement
  • Partner with internal teams to identify, capture, and curate critical information, transforming complex data and processes into clear, accessible resources
  • Audit and reorganize existing documentation to ensure its relevance and accuracy, and to eliminate redundant or outdated information
  • Support the creation and distribution of company-wide communications, such as leadership updates and new initiatives, ensuring messages are clear, consistent, and timely
  • Help maintain a "drumbeat" of key organizational announcements, using various channels to ensure employees are informed and engaged
  • Assist in preparing materials and slide decks for leadership, ensuring they are polished and aligned with company messaging
  • Support the coordination of all-hands meetings and other large-scale presentations, including preparing content and communicating key takeaways
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the CEO / Executive team, helping to translate key initiatives and strategic goals into clear, actionable information for the wider organization
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of our knowledge management systems and communication efforts, and suggest improvements to enhance clarity, engagement, and efficiency
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in knowledge management and internal communications to bring fresh ideas and tools to the team
