As the backbone of our remote IT operations, you will ensure smooth functioning of our IT systems, provide technical support to our global team, and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an IT Administrator, preferably in a remote and cloud-centric environment
• Strong familiarity with the following tools and platforms: Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom; JIRA, GitHub; Linux, macOS. windows; ChatGPT, OpenAI, Claude; HubSpot; Linode, AWS, GCP
• Experience supporting SOC 2 compliance is a plus
• Proficiency in managing cloud services and infrastructure on platforms like Linode, AWS, and GCP
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and system management
• Solid understanding of network security, VPNs, firewalls, and encryption
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, capable of providing clear and concise technical support to a non-technical audience
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote setting
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Manage the onboarding process for new employees, setting up accounts, permissions, and access to necessary tools
• Handle offboarding tasks, ensuring secure deactivation of accounts and retrieval of company assets
• Provide timely and effective technical support to remote employees across different time zones
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the following tools and platforms: Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom; JIRA, GitHub; Linux, macOS, windows; ChatGPT, OpenAI, Claude; HubSpot; Linode, AWS, GCP
• Assist with hardware and software setup, configuration, and maintenance
• Oversee the management of our cloud-based systems, ensuring uptime, security, and optimal performance
• Implement and manage security best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and encryption
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues related to cloud services, particularly on platforms like Linode, AWS, and GCP
• Develop and maintain small scripts to automate repetitive tasks, improving efficiency and reducing manual effort
• Streamline processes such as user management, data backup, and system monitoring
• Collaborate with our compliance team to maintain SOC 2 compliance
• Implement security controls and document processes to support audit requirements
• Conduct regular reviews of security policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices
• Ensure seamless integration of various tools and technologies used across the organization
• Optimize the use of AI and machine learning tools such as ChatGPT, OpenAI, and Claude to enhance productivity and support
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT processes, systems, and configurations
• Prepare regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and compliance status
