Summary

Join Sidecar Health's IT team as an IT Engineer and enhance IT and InfoSec operations while improving user experience. You will manage user systems, identify and implement improvements to IT tools and processes, provide technical support, and collaborate with other teams on key projects. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience in user and machine management, and an understanding of network security principles. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an IT role with a focus on user and machine management
  • Proficiency in managing multi-platform environments, SaaS tools, and legacy systems
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate processes and tools and recommend improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for effective collaboration and documentation
  • Adaptability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, lean environment
  • An Information Security mindset, with experience in compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or HIPAA
  • Basic understanding of network security principles, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
  • Eagerness to learn new skills, tools, and grow technically
  • Prior experience with Azure, Active Directory, and Jamf is essential
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

  • Manage user systems such as Microsoft Azure, Jamf, Intune, Jira, and Confluence
  • Identify and implement improvements to IT tools and processes
  • Provide technical support and resolve issues through efficient ticket handling
  • Partner with IT leadership to prioritize and distribute support requests effectively
  • Lead and contribute to operations and infrastructure projects, leveraging your expertise to enhance IT systems
  • Refine, manage, and document Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes, including Single Sign-On (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Optimize Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems like Jamf and Intune through automation, monitoring, reporting, and patch management
  • Support security reviews, audits, and compliance initiatives as needed
  • Participate in on-call rotations for IT/InfoSec incident response
  • Assist with evaluating and configuring Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions for a remote workforce

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional experience with Azure, Active Directory, and Jamf is a plus
  • Certifications like CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent are a plus
