Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience working with JIRA workflows in an agile software development environment
  • Proficiency in JIRA administration, including workflow schemes, issue security, and project configurations
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience with JIRA add-ons and plugins, such as ScriptRunner, JIRA Service Desk, and Tempo
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex workflow requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and customize JIRA workflows to align with the organization's agile development methodology
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into JIRA workflow configurations
  • Implement best practices for workflow management, including issue types, statuses, transitions, and permissions schemes
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to JIRA workflows, including performance optimization and scalability
  • Develop custom scripts, validators, post functions, and conditions using JIRA ScriptRunner or similar tools
  • Provide guidance and training to users on JIRA workflow usage and best practices
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing workflows to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Stay updated on the latest features and updates in JIRA and recommend enhancements to optimize workflow processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in JIRA Administration or Agile Development (e.g., Atlassian Certified JIRA Administrator)
  • Experience with other Atlassian products, such as Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, or JavaScript
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
