Summary

The job is for a Business Analyst at Talan, an international advisory group focusing on innovation and transformation through technology. The role involves working on a global solution development project, specifically a financial accounting conciliation engine and a BigData system to achieve regulatory requirements. The project runs in SCRUM/Agile methodology.

Requirements

  • University background oriented to financial/business/economy
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Very good knowledge in SQL
  • Knowledge of Excel at a medium user level
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking
  • Understanding of banking and/or financial services industry and/or shared services organizations
  • Excellent communication, inter-personal and negotiating skills
  • Ability to work with business users from various geographical locations
  • Very good command of English (at least B2+)

Responsibilities

  • Transfer user requirements to the team, functional design and validation of a regulatory application
  • Define the business logic of a BigData system to achieve financial regulatory requirements
  • Anticipate and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Question current state and facilitate stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Use SQL to analyze data, create/recreate reports/solutions according to the specifications of the requirements agreed with the users
  • Use SQL to validate data quality of implemented solutions
  • Use Scrum methodology, and be part of a high performance team
  • Document your solutions in JIRA, Confluence, ALM…

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial products in the wholesale banking environment (Fxs, bonds, equities)
  • Scrum methodology
  • Software development projects; Software development life cycle (HP ALM,..)
  • Basic knowledge of Big Data/Spark/Cloud environments
