Summary

Join our team as a Junior Consultant to support the delivery and management of programs focused on disaster recovery, resiliency, risk mitigation, and/or federally funded grant management programs. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Previous experience on a federally funded program a plus
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in social services or other relevant field; OR, At least 4 or more years of relevant experience in case management, financial management, accounting, application processing, grant-funded government programs, or other relevant field
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Experience in case management portals a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the project in a remote or onsite environment
  • Performing data entry and uploading documents within the applicable systems of record
  • Managing cases in conformance with program requirements and guidelines
  • Collecting and reviewing documents and applicant information
  • Advising and explaining program policies, rules, and forms to applicants
  • Collecting and verifying information and/or documents from applicants
  • Supervising and supporting other team members
  • Sending, receiving, analyzing, and processing electronic and hard copy correspondence, documents, and forms
  • Answering calls received through the call center and providing customer service within the call center environment
  • Responding to phone calls, and/or emails about program requirements and the status of applications
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews
  • Review applications for quality set by the Program guidance
  • Review and evaluate applicant intake forms, case manager recommendations for award, final agreements for execution, and income verification for consistency and accuracy
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for case managers
  • Support preparation of client files for closeout
  • Communicate with applicants filing their appeals
  • Handle a daily workload of appeals review
  • Meet production goals for the appeals unit
  • Meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Participate in training as necessary to improve appeals unit workflow and production
  • Attending all meetings as required
  • Performing other duties as assigned
