Junior Legal Counsel

Summary

The job is for a Junior Legal Counsel at finmid, based in Berlin or remotely. The role involves owning legal projects, gaining a deep understanding of the law and economics around structured finance transactions, and working directly with the General Counsel. The main focus area will be drafting and reviewing complex commercial/SaaS contracts and structured finance agreements, as well as supporting equity and debt funding rounds.

Requirements

• Fluency in English (German is a huge plus)
• Law degree from a German law school or a top tier law school in the UK/USA with above average grades (optimally with a “vollbefriedigend”) or at least 3 years of professional experience in a top-tier law firm or Tier 1 (Fin)Tech company

Responsibilities

• Own legal projects, e.g. contract negotiations with customers and partners as well as territorial expansion
• Gain a deep understanding of the law and economics around structured finance transactions and how fintechs disrupt the industry
