Summary

The job is for a Junior Legal Counsel at GOGOX in Hong Kong. The role involves providing legal support, drafting contracts, managing IP, and contributing to governance improvements.

Requirements

• Strong academic credentials, with a law degree from a reputable law school or university
• Qualified to practice law in Hong Kong or other common law jurisdiction (non-qualified candidates may be considered if he/she has substantial work experience)
• 1 to 3 years post qualification experience gained at law firms and/or in-house
• Professional level of proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)

Responsibilities

• Providing legal support for GOGOX on a broad range of business and operational matters (including company secretarial matters)
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of contracts
• Reviewing, commenting on, and driving business initiatives from a legal perspective
• Managing GOGOX’s intellectual property portfolio
• Maintaining and optimizing our filing system for contracts, corporate records, and other documents
• Working with and managing external counsel and agencies
• Conducting legal research on a range of legal topics
• Contribute and iterate governance and process improvements, including developing and managing internal policies, procedures, approaches, guidance, and preferred practices

Experience at a platform, e-commerce, or technology company would be a plus
