Summary

Join Octopus Deploy's dynamic marketing team as a Junior Marketing Designer and develop your skills working on innovative projects. Collaborate with senior creative staff to produce high-quality marketing materials, including illustrations, flyers, and social media content. You will be responsible for creating vector illustrations, designing layouts, and maintaining the company's resource library. This remote position requires approximately one year of professional experience with design tools like Illustrator, Canva, and InDesign. Requirements

  • Approximately 1 year of professional working knowledge of the following tools: Illustrator, Canva, InDesign, Google Slides
  • Comfortable being adaptable, flexible, willing to listen to feedback, and using feedback to improve
  • Experience in drawing vector illustrations
  • Communicating with senior team members to receive feedback
  • Liaising effectively with stakeholders
  • Supporting the team throughout the execution of campaigns and projects
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong organisational skills

Responsibilities

  • Reading the provided content or design brief, researching the topic to understand, and going through a process of creative ideation to create vector illustrations of the content provided
  • Layout of flyers based on templates, but with the ability to think outside the box, extending the design within the brand to suit the content provided
  • Illustrating the Octopus character in fun and inventive ways for swag
  • Elevating the design of slide decks to enterprise level by not only using the slide deck template but further adding your designer's flair to the content. Using brand elements, nicely designed tables, as well as static data visualisations, etc
  • Maintaining our company resource library and making announcements to let employees know it has been updated
