Summary

Join Career.io as a Part-Time, Junior Video Content Creator! This remote, freelance role (8-12 hours/week) offers the chance to create engaging video content for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms. You'll be the face of our brands, sharing career advice and brand highlights. This role requires on-camera comfort, storytelling skills, creativity, and basic video editing knowledge. Mentorship and skill development opportunities are provided. We are looking for someone passionate about career development and comfortable working independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

• Are comfortable and confident on camera, with a relatable, genuine energy
• Have a knack for storytelling and can connect with people emotionally
• Are creative and love coming up with fresh, fun ideas for content
• Are a natural multitasker who enjoys taking initiative
• Have basic experience or knowledge in video editing tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, or Premiere Pro)
• Have an interest in the career development/job search space – bonus points if you’ve experienced it yourself!

Responsibilities

• Create engaging video content: Be the face of our TikToks, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other video formats to share tips, advice, and brand highlights
• Be a natural on camera: Showcase authenticity, confidence, and a relatable tone that resonates with our audiences
• Develop creative content ideas: Brainstorm concepts aligned with our brands’ missions, including career advice, relatable trends, and storytelling moments
• Collaborate with the team: Work closely with social media manager, designers, and copywriters to execute fresh, on-brand ideas
• Experiment with trends: Stay on top of social media trends to bring a fun, innovative edge to your content
• Build your skills: Grow into the role with mentorship and opportunities to develop your content creation expertise

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing or related field
• 1-3 years of experience creating video content for social media
