Summary

This is a Land Development Construction Manager opportunity at Mosaic, a tech-enabled general contractor for the residential development industry. The role involves managing field operations on assigned projects to achieve timely and profitable completion while maintaining quality and protecting the brand. Key responsibilities include planning, scheduling, implementation & coordination of quality-built homes, managing trade relationships, ensuring lot readiness for vertical build, overseeing construction, redlining plans as necessary, maintaining safe job sites, and updating schedules daily.

Requirements

• The Construction Manager must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• The Construction Manager must be able to navigate job sites and comply with all company safety requirements
• The Construction Manager position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching. Additionally, heavy equipment may be used, and the Construction Manager must be able to lift heavy objects when needed
• Candidates should be able to build a rapport and maintain strong customer satisfaction throughout the building process
• Natural leaders with the ability to supervise effectively & delegate appropriately are preferred
• Candidates should be tech savvy - able to pick up technical programs / software seamlessly
• Candidates should be decisive, flexible & able to work well under pressure when faced with unexpected situations or delays
• Candidates should be able to motivate trade partners to perform at a high level of competency
• Candidates should be able to establish good working relationships with diverse groups, including upper management, designers, trade partners & customers
• Candidates should be naturally adept at analyzing and resolving problems
• Strong oral and written communicators are required
• Candidates should be detail oriented and persistent in follow up
• Candidates should demonstrate a sense of urgency & effectiveness
• Candidates should be able to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
• Candidates should demonstrate strong decision making/problem solving skills
• Candidates should be able to manage their time effectively, multi-task & prioritize in order to meet established goals & deadlines
• Knowledge of construction practices and terminology is required
• Able to read and understand blueprints and construction documents is required
• Knowledge of project management software programs (ITK/Marks) is required
• Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, Subcontracts and Purchase Orders is required
• Broad understanding of the building industry trades and methods of building is required
• Understanding of local building codes and IRC codes is required

Preferred Qualifications

• College or technical education preferred
• OSHA certification preferred
