Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience with a degree (Masters or PhD is a plus) in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research)
• Prior experience in advanced analytics or business data science within a marketplace or business strategy setting
• Deep understanding of econometric and statistical analysis, and experience in applying these skills to derive insights from broad data sets
• Exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders and conveying complex concepts in an accessible manner
• Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across functions
• An agile, growth-minded approach, demonstrated through a history of driving projects from ideation to impact

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced data analysis to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across various geographical markets
• Collaborate closely with the VP Global Markets and regional and country teams, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decisions
• Collect and analyze broad data from both internal and external sources to drive understanding of conversion rate, average daily rate, profitability, and rebooking rate
• Utilize econometric and statistical analysis to identify the root causes driving key business metrics and synthesize these insights at a higher level to aid prioritization
• Develop and maintain benchmarks for key performance indicators across different markets to measure and track performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Strategic Finance, Data and Analytical Engineering, and Data Science, to align strategies and leverage synergies
