Summary

The job is for a Lead Developer at Hyrecar (acquired by Getaround), a remote position requiring Pacific time zone hours. Required education is a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer and Architect.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer and Architect
  • Proficiency in technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Spring MVC
  • Strong back-end development skills with experience in languages like Node.js, Typescript, Spring, GraphQL, Open API specs, Google Analytics, CI Pipeline, GA4
  • Expertise in database design and management with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (Lambda, ECR, ECS, SQS, SNS, Mongo) and Google Cloud
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, architecture principles, and best practices
  • Self Driven with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

Responsibilities

  • Build New Features
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance system performance, reliability, and ease of maintenance
  • Review and write high-quality code to ensure adherence to standards
  • Oversee the architectural direction and design of the Hyrecar product
  • Mentor and train developers, fostering technical growth and excellence within the team
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and cross-functional teams to define and prioritize technical tasks and projects
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and keep the platform competitive
  • Resolve complex technical issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to the development process

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools like Terraform, including CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Martech skills, Iterable, Segment, Twilio, Wordpress CMS, Loyalty platform, API
