Summary

The job is for a Senior/Lead Java Developer to join Miko's Cloud Engineering team, responsible for designing and developing core system features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring scalability and responsiveness, and keeping up with industry trends. The role is remote.

Requirements

Proficiency in distributed application development lifecycle, programming techniques and tools, Linux based Operating system, at least one server-side programming language like Java, at least one server-side framework like Servlets, Spring, java spark (Java), ORM/Data access frameworks like Hibernate,JPA with spring or other server-side frameworks, data serialization frameworks, inter process communication frameworks, multithreaded programming and Concurrency concepts, defining system architectures, cloud software services, networking and communication protocols, monolithic and microservice architectural paradigms, at least one of cloud hosting platforms like Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, at least one of database SQL, NO-SQL, Graph databases, testing frameworks or tools, RPC communication frameworks, asynchronous libraries (RxJava), frameworks (Akka),Play,Vertx, functional programming languages, working with NoSQL/graph databases, code versioning tools, server, application metrics logging and monitoring tools, DevOps containerization utilities like Ansible, Salt, Puppet, container orchestration platform like Kubernetes

Responsibilities

Designing, developing and maintaining core system features, services and engines, collaborating with a cross functional team of the backend, Mobile application, AI, signal processing, robotics Engineers, Design, Content, and Linguistic Team to realize the requirements of conversational social robotics platform, ensuring the developed backend infrastructure is optimized for scale and responsiveness, introducing new ideas, products, features by keeping track of the latest developments and industry trends, operating in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules
