Summary
Join HackerOne as a Lead Product Designer and lead the design process from problem definition to implementation. You will collaborate with product managers and engineers, conduct user research, and present your work to the design team. Requirements
- 8+ of UX and product design experience
- A strong understanding of UX and product interaction problems
- Awareness of existing patterns and models
- Designs in systems, not just elements or pages
- Experience in conducting user interviews, usability tests and summary of findings
- Excellent practical skills in Figma, including prototyping
- Solid front-end development understanding
- The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders based on their input
- Must be based in Washington DC or Austin Tx
- Candidates must be able to thrive in a remote environment
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product managers and engineers to design product experiences that our customers and hackers love
- Own the entire design process from start to implementation, including user research, wireframes, prototypes, and detail-oriented visual designs for engineering teams
- Present your work and the thinking behind it at weekly design critiques with the broader design team
- Champion our growing Design Language System by leveraging its existing patterns and advocating for new ones to ensure consistency throughout our products
- Identify and communicate design rationale and tradeoffs to key stakeholders
- Pivot between contributing to high-level product decisions and understanding the low-level implications of those decisions
- Keep your Figma files organized and collaborative, enabling other designers and engineers to quickly understand where you are in a project and how they can collaborate
