Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree. in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience. in product design, preferably within an early, B2B rapidly growing Saas company as a founding/lead designer
  • Proficiency in design tools. such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools
  • Strong portfolio. demonstrating expertise in UX/UI design, including experience with complex, data-intensive applications
  • Experience working with engineering teams. to implement designs, with a strong understanding of the technical aspects of product development
  • Ability to lead design projects. from conception to execution, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
  • Excellent communication skills,. with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design strategy and execution for Valence's platform
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to create designs that align with our business goals and resonate with our users
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and pain points, and translate these insights into powerful design solutions
  • Develop and maintain design systems that enable our teams to move quickly and consistently as we scale
  • Guide internal team and external vendors and contractors to set standards based on experience and best-in-class design
