Summary

Wherobots is hiring a Lead Technical Writer to take their technical documentation function from 0-1 and own the user experience for Wherobots and Apache Sedona documentation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, build KPIs, stay up-to-date with industry trends, and have experience taking technical documentation from non-existent or basic to highly usable and scalable. Requirements

• Experience taking technical documentation from non-existent or basic, to highly usable and scalable
• Evidence of strong verbal and written english communication
• 5+ years of technical documentation experience using Git for version control
• 5+ years experience for a B2B company
• Proficiency with Python and SQL
• Experience using and documenting products that rely on web technologies and API protocols
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with modern data architectures like data lakes, data lakehouses, and data warehouses

Responsibilities

• Own the user experience for Wherobots and Apache Sedona documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, identify technical solutions, and deliver simple, intuitive technical guides
• Participate in how products are defined, and own new content required to support the product surface area across APIs, programming languages, technologies like AI, ML, and integrations
• Build KPIs and mechanisms that enable continuous improvement of user documentation
• Trialing, and describing all aspects of the Wherobots product in clear and simple language
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in documentation technologies
