Summary
Join the Raspberry Pi Foundation's US team as a Learning Manager based in Georgia (remote with travel). You will develop and deliver learning experiences, content, and training for educational programs, ensuring alignment with evidence-based pedagogy. This role involves collaborating with colleagues and partners, contributing to the Foundation's strategy, and representing the organization externally. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in computing science education, curriculum development, and experience within the Minnesota or Georgia education system. Requirements
- A thorough understanding of computing, with a degree or equivalent qualification in computer science or a related subject
- A teaching qualification or significant experience of teaching computing or a related subject
- Experience of developing and delivering curricula, teacher professional development, and learning experiences for students in a variety of different settings and contexts
- A good understanding of the education system in Minnesota or Georgia, ideally with experience of teaching in one of these states
- Eligibility to work in the US
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver learning experiences, content, resources, and training for the Foundation's educational programmes and products
- Ensure that all of our activities reflect evidence-based and culturally responsive pedagogy and the Foundation's agreed approaches to teaching and learning
- Contribute to the development of the Foundation's teaching and learning strategy and approaches
- Actively engage with research and best practice, and identify areas for improvement and innovation
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization and with partner organizations
- Engage positively with the Foundation's systems for quality assurance, including in relation to agreed policies for inclusion and accessibility
- Proactively utilise user feedback and data to drive improvement
- Represent the Raspberry Pi Foundation to external audiences and stakeholders as required
- Contribute to the Foundation's thought leadership through writing articles and blogs, public speaking, and contributing to research and evaluation
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable with a broad range of technologies, including hardware and software platforms, and the ability and willingness to learn new technologies as required
- An understanding of computing pedagogy within formal education and non-formal learning, including an understanding of culturally responsive pedagogy and experience with developing culturally responsive curricula
- A commitment to the Foundation's mission and values, including on diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and external partners
- The ability to travel within the USA and internationally
