Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in or equivalent work experience in legal setting
  • Minimum 2+ years experience as a Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary
  • Background in Immigration Law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Client Intake - follow up with potential or current clients; Gathering basic information from a checklist or questionnaire
  • Acknowledge and respond to direct emails from attorney
  • Ask for and be proactive in scheduling weekly case status meeting with each attorney
  • Understands in prioritizing workflow, in a way other attorneys understand urgency and priority of other tasks
  • Calendar all due dates as documents are received – setting reminders and follow ups

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using Clio Manage & Grow is a plus
  • Worked with any interpreter is a plus
