Requirements
- Have prior experience as a legal assistant, preferably in estate planning or probate law
- Be proficient in using CLIO and WealthCounsel software or similar legal technology
- Possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrate the ability to handle sensitive client information with accuracy and confidentiality
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to professionally interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders
- Have strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Have the capacity to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter client information and case details into CLIO legal software
- Maintain up-to-date and organized digital client files in compliance with firm policies
- Use WealthCounsel software to draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related legal forms
- Assemble comprehensive estate plans for clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm standards
- Coordinate with attorneys to ensure the timely preparation and review of documents
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding document status and basic inquiries
- Schedule appointments and maintain the firmβs calendar
- Prepare and organize files for meetings and court appearances
- Assist with tracking and managing deadlines for filings and other key tasks
- Work closely with attorney to ensure seamless workflow and case management
- Collaborate with team members to optimize processes and improve efficiency
